Looking back, looking ahead
As we close out 2024, I wanted to reflect on a few of this year’s highlights:
Big Kelp Hydration - our powerhouse bioactive ingredient - landed some new clinical results showing an 80% improvement in immediate hydration
Unpacking our farm-to-formula story to provide the beauty industry with unparalleled transparency into our zero waste supply chain
Joining forces with Everything Seaweed to expand and scale our technology platform
Winning a $1.4m grant from the Department of Energy to convert kelp into ethanol
But most rewarding is connecting the incredible brand founders and beauty formulation artists in the beauty space with the regenerative kelp farming community in Alaska. We are continuously inspired by all the amazing ways you are bringing kelp’s natural superpowers to consumers. We can’t wait to see your creations on the shelf!
Our mission at Macro Oceans is to build a Big Kelp Economy for a low-carbon future. There is so much more to do and build. But for now, we’re going to thank you for coming along for the ride and look forward to catching up in 2025!
